Do’s

• DO take your time completing the application
  •   This is one of the most important aspects of the entire mortgage process and what we
    use to initially determine your ability to qualify for a home loan.
• DO complete all sections of the application 
• DO remove any freezes to your credit report PRIOR to submitting your application 
• DO enter a local employment address, if applicable
  • We prefer to have a local employment address vs a corporate address that may
    appear on your paystub or W-2
• DO provide a full 2-year employment and residence history.
  • If you do not have a full 2-year employment history, please email us and let us know
    reasons for any gaps or unemployment. (School history can be counted in the employment  history.
• DO provide all assets being used for this transaction
  • (i.e. Checking, Savings, Retirement, Gift Funds, Proceeds from home sale, etc…)
• DO let us know if you plan to switch employers before you anticipate closing on a new home
  •   Changes to income and/or employers will need to be discussed in advanced and it is strongly discouraged during the home loan process

Don’ts

• DO NOT speed through the application
• DO NOT leave ANY sections blank
  • This will cause delays in processing your application
• DO NOT submit your application until ALL sections are 100% complete
• DO NOT omit any information
  • Mortgage qualification requires a thorough review of your ability to repay the home loan. We want to
    prevent anything from surfacing that could keep you from qualifying. Be open and
    honest with your situation; we are on your side, but we need to know everything upfront.
