No! Many people think they can negotiate a better deal for themselves by not using a Realtor. They believe the builder will discount to them if the builder doesn’t have to pay the Realtor commissions. Builders can’t, and will not discount a home simply based on someone not utilizing a Realtor’s services. In fact the builder has to sell the home at the same price to someone with a Realtor as they would to someone without one. Builders allocate 3% or more on every home they build. If a buyer isn’t represented by a Realtor they simply keep those funds for additional profit.
